"Richard Hoskins" is the pseudonym of T R Hoskins, bestselling author and criminologist. 

The Boy in the River (2026) tells the story of my involvement as ritual expert in some of Britain's highest profile criminal cases. Interwoven with those is my personal journey starting in Africa as a young person, through to recent cases. The two strands collide in a terrifying ordeal, but I will leave you to read about that!

The Boy in the River is a Sunday Times Top Ten and Amazon UK No.1 bestseller. In 2013 it won the prestigious Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger.

I also write feature pieces for national newspapers and I am a regular commentator on television and radio.
